ell-known for being featured in the Smithsonian African-American Museum for his authentic dish Shrimp & Grits, Chef Carlos Brown has been honored with Chef Carlos Brown Day annually on August 25th in Charleston, Sc., the 2020 National Black Chef Awards Culinary Excellence Award, American Culinary Federation (ACF) Award, Kingston Chef Scholastic Award, and the Diamond Culinary Medal.
Also, a philanthropic at heart whose work includes teaching youth the importance of culinary arts and sharing his mission to globally bring families back to the table, he founded the non-profit youth organization, C3 Culinary Camp a week-long S.T.E.A.M. program held in the summer months. The program embodies Chef Carlos Brown’s mission & motto: “Saving Hospitality.”
