TJ Edwards
Edwards is from Dallas, Texas.
Edwards played collegiately at Southwestern Baptist University from 2015 – 2017. At SBU, Edwards was the recipient of GLVC Freshman of the Year (2015), Offensive Player of the Year (2016) and Harlon Hill Award candidate after setting a single-season school record with 44 total touchdowns (2016). After taking a year off, Edwards transferred to the University of Indianapolis for his senior year where he threw for nearly 2,400 yards 23 touchdowns.
Edwards’ football journey, marked by versatility and skill, began with the Fighters in 2021, where he played a pivotal role in the team’s success—his debut season showcased his exceptional passing and rushing abilities, earning him recognition as a premier dual-threat quarterback in the IFL.
Edwards’ impact extended beyond the 2023 season, during which he led the Fighters to a league-high 14 wins and earned the prestigious title of 2023 League Most Valuable Player. His 853 rushing yards and 49 rushing touchdowns, 2,600 passing yards, and 39 passing touchdowns, showcased his ability to dominate both on the ground and in the air.
