A wide receiver who was a three-year letterman as well as captain for his senior year of high school. Smith set the school record with 1,207 yards and 13 touchdowns on 76 receptions his senior year. Smith was the recipient of first-team all-state honors as a senior and first-team all-conference both junior and senior year following second team honors the year before.

College and Pro experience

First career start as wide receiver against Illinois and had four receptions for a total of 118 yards. Smith has a season high of 85 reception yards against Penn State with the longest reception of 46 against Northwestern. During the 2016, he had a season high of both rushing yards and longest rush of 45 yards against Purdue.Pro Experience: Signed with the Ottawa Redblacks for the CFL 2019 season.
